frozen berries are blue and sweet inside but fresh blueberries are creen and have a more tangy taste. Are all blueberries different??

They add sugar and coloring to frozen blueberries. Look at the ingredients on the back.

We are lucky in this country that frozed fruit is almost as good as fresh and cost lots less generally. The answer about processing with sugar and coloring is the best one here. Also freezing breaks cell walls and everything frozen changes.

i dont think frozen are better than fresh as a rule. i find that frozen blueberries are often chewy on the outside. it may be a matter of batch and brand as opposed to frozen versus fresh.

Frozen blueberries hold their shape better while baking inside of muffins made from scratch.

the ones you describe fresh are not ripe yet try oregon blueberries they are usually very good and ready to eat
