I did see someone has already told you but you should take him to the vet if it continues but I would try somethings for a week and then decide. You can make a tooth paste out of baking soda and water, just make a paste so only add a little water at a time. This is 100 % safe for your dog and while you brush his teeth it kills all the germs in there mouth. Its safe for people to use too! I would also get him so breath busters, they work on my dog. But as I said if you don't notice a difference you should take him to the vets and have him checked out, it could become very serious. I hope I was able to help you out, hope you have a great day!

Your dog gets bad breath for the same reason you do. He needs to have his teeth cleaned by the vet, and then he needs for your to brush his teeth weekly.
You should also have your dog checked by the vet in case there is any underlying problem. Neglecting the teeth can cause illness throughout your dog's systems.

Check your dog's teeth first of all. If they have a lot of plaque on them (brown all along the gums), he might need to get his teeth cleaned. Really dirty teeth can cause gingivitis in dogs like in humans, and cause serious health problems. Let your vet tell you.
If the teeth aren't really bad, get some dog toothpaste and a soft toothbrush and brush his teeth. Go it very gently and be patient at first so your dog gets used to having his teeth brushed. Brushing helps keep their teeth much cleaner.

Bad breath is often a sign of a dental problem. I recommend that you take your dog to the vet to get his teeth checked and also to rule out other medical issues.

You, your vet, or groomer can brush its teeth (with special dog toothpaste). There are also breath mints for dogs, but there can be health problems that cause bad breath. So, pay attention to how he acts/feels otherwise.

Tell him to stop eating the garlic and onions. Tell him you won't kiss him unless he freshens up.
