How can you reduce your derriere? You can start by giving some of it to me! My gluteous maximus is a ski slope that only the bravest of skiers would want to ski since it has no ledge but drops off immediately from the waist and is a sheer straight wall to the upper legs.

I would agree with others that squats may help but I have NEVER heard that sitting on the behind makes it bigger. In fact, you might tend to think that sitting on it makes it flat, which isn't the case either.

Perhaps a workout to make the other body muscles toned and firmer might even out the problem and give muscle mass to other muscles. A friend of mine did this and it made her glutal muscles less obvious to others.

Here's an exercise regimine that has worked for EVERYONE I know who has tried to reduce the glutals:

Lie down flat on your back, with your legs stretched out straight. Lift up one leg, keeping the other leg on the floor, and without bending either knee. Lift it so it is perpendicular to the floor. Hold it up to the count of 5, and slowly lower the leg. Repeat 5 times, and then switch legs. This exercise targets the glutal muscles, and is great for trimming the derierre.

You can find this reference on the "India Parenting" website at:

Hope you try this! It has a good success rate and it doesn't wear you out with exercise. Best of all, it doesn't cost anything. :-)

squats, lunges, walking, running, and jogging are all excellent ways to reduce the size of and firm up your backside. Also limit your intake of carbs and cheeses, which adds on weight to that area.

Squats may increase your butt size, especially if you are already prone to have a large butt...and I dont remember seeing many 15 year old girls in the gym. If you do, make sure its light weights!

Do cardio...cardio...cardio...

You can help with fat accumulation with how you wat and cardio. If you are doing your best with that...then learn to be happy with yourself. You will be suprised at how many of us men like a shapley butt ;)

Good luck~

You should try doing something like squats and use a stair climber. These will tighten your butt and make it look nice and perky!
