Do you drop the "hanky", like suggested from the summer TV show, "How to Get that Guy?", that was cancelled this past summer? Smile, give him four feet of personal space, and have eye contact? Did it work for you? I'm a shy/modest type, who gets tongue-tied and nervous around men in general. Any good conversation starters and how to get him to notice me will be great?

focus on eye contact. for a shy person the first thing you tend to do when you make eye contact with a person you like is to look away. don't stare at him like a madman, but casually glance over once in a while. when you do make eye contact, smile and if possible, wave. that should be enough to make him come talk to you.
