There are different types of reading - skimming, scanning, in depth etc - the Open University website will have tips..
I used to find some types of text quite laborious too but now I alternate the technique accordingly..
Also as with everything the more you do it the easier and faster it becomes..
Good Q

Try to read the newspaper everyday and spend at least 30 minutes a day.
You will see the difference in a month.

I took a speed reading course at OU.
It was just reading at a faster rate by skipping small words.
Like: a, an, the, or, it, etc.

Look for the more imporatnt content, read the sentences around it and them look for the next important content.
Practice and then it will become easy.

Maybe - search keywords - and skim through alot of small repetative words ...etc
Depends on what you guess are - important words and meanings, you need to retain and memorise, obviously ..etc.

study extra many times. additionally, attempt basically searching for the important factors and examining that sentence, or that component of a sentence. usually, the 1st sentence of a paragraph and the final sentence of the object or internet site might desire to be sufficient to get the gist.

Just read down the centre of the page.
You get everything hopelessly wrong - but it's fast!
