if it takes u 90 mins i suggest u get a new microwave.

it takes double the time because double the amount of energy is needed to be transfered to the double the amount of moving particles in the milk

As someone else already pointed out, I believe you meant 90-seconds rather than 90-minutes.

Microwaves use radio waves to heat whatever you put in the microwave. The item you wish to heat absorbs those radio waves causing the molecules to increase speed, causing the item to heat. The greater the mass in the microwave, the greater the amount of energy required to heat it.

I hope that helps!

A microwave works by passing microwave energy through the atoms. The atoms are shaken violently causing friction which produces heat. So the more atoms in the microwave the more time it'll take to heat them.

Because it has 2 times the milk to heat. And sometimes it can take the same.

Because the liquid heats up by absorbing the microwave energy. The more liquid you have the more energy is required. The amount of energy delivered is a factor of the power rating and the time.

2 different containers of milk are absorbing the same heat as one container. It will always take longer.

I think you mean 90 SECONDS not MINUTES....just warming should take about 3 minutes, depending on wattage; boiling, anywhere from 5-8 minutes...
