Please all let me know your opinions on this, if you feel I am wierd or just unique. I am just 20 (14/08) yay !!, and I feel strange about so many things, society today has accepted that its okay for people to sleep around so long as you use protection, but I dont have those feelings, I feel that sex is something that is based on the love you have for that person, and only a loved one would have the chance to experience that with you. I have had a few times where the chance has arrisen to have a 'one night' stand, but I always refused (now bet all the guys are booing and hissing) but does this make me a wierd person, because i dont follow the trends of society?? now i know the male species has been branded as sl*ts for years now, but recently all the girls i have met my age are just interested in sex and nothing else, fiar enough if thats what they like but that aint my style, are there any girls my age that would rather have sex on the basis of love or just fun?

I applaud you man, I seriously do. We really need more guys like you in this world. But well no your are perfect man. Don't worry about society, I mean your not alone. I feel the same way. I'm 16 and well I've lived all my life being a virgin. It still shocks people that I'm still a virgin. But well I feel the same way. I feel that my first time should be with a girl I truly love and want to be with my whole life, Which is why I'd rather wait for marriage. I mean I have those second thoughts and temptions to just forget about morality and get with a girl. But well in the end, I know that I'm not that kind of person either. As for the girls your age, you have to remember. after 18 your branded as an adult, your not a teen that tries stuff. You are now apart of the big world. So 20's is the only time you can truly enjoy your life as an adult. Parties, meeting random people, college, no parental supervision. All that. So well the girls your age, just want to have fun with guys. Once you hit 30 and above, that's when people start to settle down, get married have kids, enter a job in their field of study, get out of college, etc...
So well remember you are unique, it's wonderful that the world has a guy like you. Believe me sex brings problems, you are taking a night of fun, for a lifetime of horror. You don't want to wake up the next morning and questioning if you got the girl pregnant. Nor do you want to just be branded as a sex addict either. It's perfectly fine that you want to save yourself from this world. Just keep looking, their are plenty of girls out there that are looking for a serious long term relationship. Just like there are guys like you out there. You just have to look hard enough and find them.

Some of the other answers are so right in what they say!
I too beleive that sex and love go together, a lot would dissagree with me and say its old fashioned etc etc.
Like you, i have to have feelings for someone to be able to share my body with them and get intimate otherwise its just not right.
loads of peopl are sleeping around and good for them if thats what they like to do but i couldn't imagine just moving from one person to another having sex as an act with no feelings involved.
im sure there are lots of people who really get off on the whole mystery thing and the appeal of someone new but its so much nicer when you have respect and love, trust and loyalty in a relationship, it makes the sex not just sex but "making love"
GOOD FOR YOU i say, i wish thier were more blokes like you out there, what i would refer to as a gentleman, caring about feelings other than just getting your end away.
And lets face it, if the girl is not intersted in you as they just want sex then she is not worth knowing as sex to her is just sex and more than likely she will get bored and find someone else, they are obviously not ready for exploring the feelings side of things and just want the physical. in other words, Easy, and who wants a girlfriend like that, you never know what she will be upto behind your back!

Well done.. I feel the same and have never done a 1 night stand. it has 2 be a serious relationship for me :D

i'm 19. i think you are very respectable. good on you chum. i dunno where the world is going now. i believe that sex should be about love not just a good time or whatever and all tehse people who refer to having sex as "a bit of fun" are just twisted. if we respected each otehr a bit more and slept around a bit less, we might actually be in a different place. amen to everything you gotta say chum. big up.

There are plenty of people your age, younger and older who feel like that. It's not weird and I don;t think it's as unusual as some people would think.
