Then I suggest you visit the UN web-site OR a local diplomatic office to find out how you would go about applying for such a job... or if such a position even needs filling right now.

Good luck to you.

You're never too old to go back to college. I've been on both sides of the equation. As an 18 yr. old freshman, my roommate was 26, at the time I thought 'man he's old.' But we got along great. And after a few weeks he was just another part of the gang. I've also returned to school in my mid 20's (grad school) and also in my late 30's (law school -although I ultimately decided not to practice). And in each instance, my conerns about the 'social' and 'dating' aspects of being an older student were quickly laid to rest. If you have a good paying job now without a degree, then you'll probably have a better paying job with a degree. Plus you'll have your degree. And my guess is that with your IT experience you should be able to get some 'work-study' gig to help pay for school. When I was young and heard older people telling me that life wasn't simply about making money, I would cringe. Now... that I'm older, I get it. It isn't just about the money, it's about finding that niche in life where you enjoy doing something so much that you're the best at doing it and can command the highest compensation. The change in atmoshere could do you a lot of good.

See "employment" at the bottom of the page. It'd down right now for maintenance, but might be up soon and will tell you what you need to know. It's also available in Arabic, ir you want to start from the UN home page at www.un.org
