One of my wife's friends has just gone there for work. Among her preparation was training for what to do in a kidnapping attempt. I think it would be best to stay away for several years at least - sad but true.

its probably a little safer with U.N. troop's there but you'd certainally always be in some kind of danger and nope i wouldn't wanna go there,unless i got a free shot at bin ladden

Try one of the UAE states they are well worth a visit and do not have all the safety issues (just the usual ones)
