Homemade is best, and cheapest! But if you are short on time, use the jar stuff and add extras. You can always cook up a really big batch of sauce and freeze it in several containers to have on hand for quick meals.

Homemade is best but if I'm not feeling well (I have fibromyalgia and a one year old daughter that I stay home with full time and I work at home) and don't have time I add extras to a jar of the best I can find and go from there. It's not to bad if you jazz it up.

Most every sauce you buy in a can or a jar has more sugar than a bottle of Hersheys Chocolate Syrup. I would N-e-v-e-r eat that stuff. I make my own.

it extremely is been so long that I ignore what my mom's handmade spaghetti sauce even tastes like. i purchase Ragu with meat or the previous worldwide in a great container month-to-month, each so often 2 or 3 of the medium length (heavily). yet i hit upon it extremely is the noodles that make it exciting. somebody introduced me some "angel hair" spaghetti, it chefs in a jiffy reason it extremely is think of and is going down softer, so i like that now with parmajan cheese. My mom used to make her sauce and it had a very good form of hamburger meat in it so she might placed that into the massive shells and to us it recognised like an entire new form of meal and then we'd sprinkle a combination of parmajan and romano cheese. Then my mom might freeze a number of her sauce and we'd have sloppy joes on bread or buns (the buns make it extremely particular). It become great. i've got attempted the spaghetti sauce on elbow noodles, and in spite of the actuality that it passes for a diverse form of meal, properly it extremely is only mediocre. once I moved from an place of living once I have been given a modern-day and in it become a container of the spinach noodles, and, in spite of the actuality that kinda extraordinary, that too made a diverse form of meal (with the sauce). i assume in case you nevertheless had some sauce left you may make ziti or layer it with the long and extensive noodles.

I find that Ragu Garden style is the best Jarred sauce, it tastes just as good as homemade and is time efficient.

Whatever works best for YOU.
It's not really difficult to make your own, but if you're pressed for time, there are some good sauces in the jar or can.
Find one you like & use it.

Ragu (Jar) + fresh mushrooms + fresh sliced/diced green/red bell pepper + fresh diced or cut onion + cooked fresh ground pork & beef + fresh tomatoes + italian spice + 1-2 teaspoons of margerine. (drain fat from cooked meats and use margerine!!!)
Add 1 small can of tomato paste to thicken sauce, simmer entire batch for 1-2 hours on low.

Always make your own sauce. It always tastes better and you can customize it however you like. I make a great sauce. Whatever you do never use a canned sauce like Hunts. I personally think they all taste gross. If you do decide to make your own I rec commend Pastene canned tomatoes.

I prefer making my own.
If time doesn't permit, then I go for plain organic Hunt's tomato sauce in a can... and add whatever I feel like adding.
