I have a major problem. I have been best friends with this guy I have known my whole life. Well a couple of years ago, we kind of had a fling, we liked each other a lot but because of our religion, we were considered too young to date, but we were kissing friends. That made things akward for us as friends so we cooled off. I am 17 now and he came over to my house and we made out for along time, things just kind of fell into place. Right before he left, he asked me what we should do, because he doesn't want to get attached to me like last time. I like him sooo much, maybe even love, but he doesn't want a realtionshipof more than friends because he is afraid that if something goes wrong in the relatoinship that he would loose me as a friend. He treats me like he does want to take it to the next level, but sometimes I can't be too sure. I love him but I don't think I could be around him as much as I am and want to stay just friends. WHAT DO I DO?

I mean how would we know that the relationship wouldn't work out untill we tried it. How do I tell him how I feel without making it weird for the both of us? I feel like he is the only one for and that if I can't have him then I don't think I could go with any one else.

We tell each other every thing. I can tell him anything in the world about me and know that it is okay with him. He never judges me like other people do. We would talk on the phone for hours at a time, talk about marriage and stuff that goes along with it, but now, I am afraid I am loosing him.

It is to late you have crossed the line and trying to be just good friends isn't an option anymore... And if things do work out you for the two of you then you will be even better friends than you could have ever been. you gotta lay it out for him and rememeber us guys are a wee bit behind you girls so take your time when telling him. make sure you have thought it out to when you do tell him and at some point without asking or saying anything just go for it and make out with him like you have always dreamed it should be... good luck

If you love him then take the chance, if he loves you he will follow the lead, if you dont act on it you might loose each other too.. tell him exactly what you said.. the best way to go about things like this is to be straight-forward and say exactly what you mean.

don't take a chance because it's totally different being friends and lovers. I would just let it go and accept him as a friend ,if he afraid of losing you i think you should consider that also, and slow things down.

I say go for it... you're 17 you'll be on your own soon and this is what life is all about... taking risks... but also be responsible.
