o im 13 and 5 4 and weigh 155 pounds! yea i no that a lot!
can i lose weight doin sit-ups day and night everyday? and im a girl
but since i started doin sit-ups my stomach hurts too much

actually sweetie, that's not that heavy hon. I'm 5'7" and 155 is on the high end for what the charts say, but is actually my ideal weight for ME. So don't judge by what other people say.

But no, you can't lose weight on situps alone. That's only a muscle builder, not a fat burner. You need cario workouts, anything that gets your heart pumping and your body sweating, like riding a bike, rollar blading, aerobics, that kind of thing. You want a half hour to an hour a day (to lose weight they say to aim for an hour a day, but most days I consider myself lucky to get in a half hour. lol).

You also want to eat a healthier diet. Fruits and veggies (lots of them), lean proteins (chicken breasts, fish, beans, yogurt and cheeses) and make sure to drink 8+ glasses of water a day, which will not only keep you hydrated but washes the fat from your body. Aim for around 1500-1700 calories a day.

Set ups will tighten up the Stomach Muscles and if you don't lose weight, you will look like you have- I used to do 100 every day, 35 in the Morning, more as the day went along, it keeps the gut off.

well you can lose a little just doing sit ups but try eating better and try walking that really helps i lost like 15 lbs walking and eating right with some exersize. so keep up the good work !!!!!!!!!.

You won't lose weight unless you burn more calories than you take in. At least you'll be hard as a rock under the fat.

doing sit-up is great but you have to do cardio. Cardio is very important if you really want to loose your stomack fat. I would suggest you to do sit-up and cardio becuase sit-up helps tighten your tummy and cardio helps melt your fat. If you just do sit-ups you won't be able to see your abs becuase your muslce would be hidding under layers of fat.
