Now we rational thinkers just sit back and wait for the impossibly stupid responses.

maybe man's not imperfect?

You call yourself rational?

"Consider that the smallest theoretical cell is made up of 239 proteins. Further, at least 124 types of proteins are needed for the cell to become a living thing. But the simplest known self-reproducing organisms is the H39 strain of PPLO (mycoplasma)containing 625 proteins with an average of 400 amino acids in each protein. Yet the probability for the occurrence of the smallest theoretical life is only one chance in 10 ^119,879 and the years required for it to evolve would be 10^199,841 years or 10^119,831 times the assumed age of the earth". (Coppedge, EVOLUTION. p.114).

And you, as a "RATIONAL thinker", accept this.

I'm sure you have heard this one from noted astronomer Fred Hoyle:

"At all events, anyone with even a nodding acquaintance with the Rubik cube will concede the near-impossibility of a solution being obtained by a blind person moving the cubic faces at random. Now imagine 10^50 blind persons each with a scrambled Rubik cube, and try to conceive of the chance of them all simultaneously arriving at the solve form. You then have the chance of arriving by random shuffling at just ONE of the many biopolymers on which life depends. The notion that not only biopolymers but the operating programme of a living cell could be arrived at by chance in a primordial organic soup here on the Earth is evidently nonsense of a high order."

Yes, you are VERY rational!

As for your question, where did you get the idea that God had created a perfect man? Gen 1:31 : all that God had made was very good. Now, if you had asked about Lucifer, whom the Bible said was perfect, that would have been another matter.

He didn't create an imperfect being smart guy. Nothing He created was imperfect in any way what-so-ever. But the devil is everything imperfect, and was pretty angry at God, and decided to set out to destroy God's beautiful creature. Sin makes people imperfect, not God. How'd sin get there? Adam and Eve. How is it affecting people to this day? When a parent makes a bad decision and the child is affected, is it fair? No but it is reality. They clearly made a bad decision and now we are all affected by it. Plagued by it rather. Is it fair? No but it's reality. That was the point of the cross. The way out? Jesus.

He did not create an imperfect being. Man was perfect, part of his perfection was his will. His ability to make decisions. Man having chosen a self destructive option, caused a flaw within himself, and his subsequent generations. Much as many genetic flaws are passed downward from generation to generation. Plus you seem to assume that perfection is always eternal, many things start off with no inherent flaw but as time passes outside effects wear that particular thing down to where it is no longer perfect. This would not be the fault of the creator/designer. Though this is not the case with Adam it just gives another example where your premise could fall flat.

Lastly if you're going to say something under the pretenses of rational thought, make sure that it is a rational question. Stop embarrising yourself.

Im not a Christian but if you read the bible (and I do just so I can say stuff like this) Genesis chapter 1 line 26 says And God said let us make man in our image, after our likeness...so there isnt just one God..now go and look up the word ANNUNAKI and that will answer the question. Then go and look up alien visitation and genetic manipulation and that will keep you busy for years hehehe

God didn't create man imperfect. God created free-will, and out of his own CHOICE man became imperfect. Come on now, you don't have to be a christian to know that! Hell, I'm not even sure of what I am anymore, besides gay, and I know that.

BC of free will, Adam's & Eve's poor choice(s) made every created being imperfect. Adam & Eve were not imperfect by or at God's creation.

Happy Sabbath.

He made us superior to all creatures. But not every human being is healthy, wealthy and wise. This is to test us and others around us . Here is a translation of one of Quranic Surah. (Chapter of Quran)
Title: The Figs
By the Token of Figs and Olive
Ane the Mount Siani
And this peaceful city
Indeed We created humans in best form
Then we reduced him lowest of low
Except Those who have faith and do rightous deeds
For them there will be unending rewad
Then who can deny you after this regarding the day of judgment
Isn't Allah the ruler of all the rulers

(Here fig and olive refers to the Prophet Jesus, Mount Siani to Prophet Moses and this peaceful city i.e. Makkah (Mecca) to Abraham, Ishmaeel and Muhammad; that man has potential to reach to these hights but then he became lowest of the low i.e. Bush, Blair and other grave terrorists and liars)

Admitting your own gullible stupidity indicates confusion, NOT an absence of perfection. The body and brain and interactive chemistry thereof functions perfectly when maintained as was instructed in Eden and not tampered with nor maligned. To better understand, peruse these links:

God's not perfect. He is perfection Himself.
If He created a perfect being, we can't call Him God anymore. He'll just be another god. A thing can't make something which is an 'exact' copy of itself - it'll just be another thing.
Rational Thinker ei?!
Peace dude.

We were created in his image we are not imperfect. We became imperfect the moment we sinned. but still there are traces of our perfection the fear of death that every or most humans carry is a reflection of the fact that we were created to live forever.
