I lost the cd so I went to the hp website to download the software from the site. Just before the end of the process it says "error Install failure" I tried it about 5 times. When I called tech support they said they would help me for $59.00....they are crazy if they think I'm paying that amount of money. Have any suggestions?

IF you are unable to download it from hp, then google the name of the printer driver you need and you will have other websites that you can get the driver from. Good Luck

It is a long shot but it worked for me. try another hp site (i.e. in another country ) No way could I download successfully the software for my canon printer from Canon UK or USA. Believe it or not , the software from Australia downloaded and worked perfectly!

open up your installed hardware and look for drivers ?
