For me, it's the excitement of seeing stuff. I mean really SEEING it! I can't turn off the ability to see and frame photos even when I don't have a camera with me.

The single most frustrating thing I've encountered is that I SEE a wonderful potential photo, and I know that because my eyes, in conjunction with my brain, have the ability to take in a scene that no camera record. Say, for example, a photo that encompasses a 180 degree wide photo by a 180 degree vertical photo, but the scene I saw wouldn't wait for a pano shot to be set up! That is an exquisite torture that I am grateful to have experienced.

Those 'found' images that can never be recorded are the burr under my saddle. They keep me going, I can't stop finding them, and I can't stop trying to fiugure out how can I come at least close to what I saw.

For true, I don't want to stop, I suspect it is a divine gift.

I think photography is acting as your eyes, so you never think to get red of them, you live with it like ( on line hobby). Its deeply sticket in the brain ,you react with all good view you see by your eyes. At this moment you feel you need camera to carry out the view as hard copy with you, not imaginary photo in your mind. In short words its ( Online Hobby).

i am a canon kind of person. and canon makes AWESOME gears for cameras, the lenses are insanely awesome and the cameras are GREAT. the Mark II. what makes me stick to photography is all the great things a camera allows you to do, so many memories, so many photos, so many times. photos really bring out the past and a photo is worth a thousand words. pictures bring up the past, a lesson doesnt.what camera do you use? anways, my camera is what keeps me on photography

My NEW Digital SLR that I purchased 2 years ago -- it opened up EVEN More creativity for me in the images that I can take. Plus, I started playing around with Adobe Photoshop and boy -- that is something that I can spend some time with to enhance my images.

I've always been a gadget freak, so photography allows me to feed my gadget freakiness. Also I love to record significant happenings in my life. I've got drawers full of pictures of my kids and grand kids as they were/are growing up. I love to see the world through the viewfinder, and record a moment in time.

things look different through the lens of the camera.
you can manipulate shadows and light to create a stunning image.
you dont always see it when you shoot the image, but you can see it in your mind. sometimes you are lucky enough to caputre what you wanted. other times an image so breathtaking comes out a shot you felt was only so-so.
that is why i keep snapping the shots.

I like that sometimes I can see something through a view finder that I may not be able to see normally. You look through a view finder differently than you do the world. You see things through it that maybe you wouldn't maybe normally see. I also like developing my own black and white photos. Creating this subtracting that, I love to watch my photos come to life.

Being a relatively new parent and having kids. They change so quickly. Digital allows for immediate feedback so even when they move you can still end up with so great photos.
