I was talking to my friend and she said my boyfriend told her that he wanted to dump me. He's gone for the weekend and I'm not going to see him until Monday and I might be able to talk to him tomorrow night. Is there anything I could do to change his mind, I'm willing to do anything he wants, I just can't lose him right now. Is there ANYTHING I can do. I love him more than anything in the world and I don't want to watch him walk away from me and all we've been through.

Ok lots of people say my friend's just saying stuff because she wants him. She doesn't, she's going out with some other guy and they're like crazy over eachother, she doesn't like my boyfriend.

prepare the worse -
tell him (excited) that great news!!
tel him you've been approached by someone else who is interested in you but that you were serious about him, so you told them to bug off, and that you did nto want to dump your bf. But actually you find this other person pretty interesting.
Thank you BF for helping you to make a difficult task much easier to handle, and walk away.
(guy are attracted to girls with great attitudes - it might help by starting to develop one and focusing onthe positive)
good lck

Honestly there really isn't much you can do. When a guy plans on breaking up with a girl, it's never a good thing when the girl knows about it. Because what's going to happen is your going to try even harder to change his mind. And in the end you just gave him another reason to break up wtih you. Because he can then say that you are too obessive and attached to him. And that he needs space. So well right now you need to figure out how you are going to handle it. I mean just still act like your normal self around him. He has his reasons, you can't just prevent him from doing it. I know you really love him and all, and you want to stay with him. But well either way there really can't be much you can do. There's always the future. I mean maybe right now isn't a good time for you two to be dating. So well just focus more on how you are going to handle it, and well even after he does it, try to talk it out with him, and ask him for a second chance, and that you'll fix whatever it is he feels you've done to ruin your relationship. That's the best you can do. Besides that push for a friendship with him. I mean I know you love him, but well that's about as best as your going to get for now. So well give him time, he might come back around. So don't lose hope so easily and just try to relax alittle. He hasn't done it yet, he'll be back in 2 days. So well you have 2 days to prepare. I mean things can happen in 2 days to change his mind, all on his own. So act normal and pretend that you have no prior knowledge of his plans to break up with you, because you can't know for sure until it actually happens. So still keep your guard up, but just act normal. Don't give him any reasons to change his mind on Monday back to breaking up with you.

If he wants to dump you, he has a reason for it. Try to find out why he's going to dump you (if he really is) and see what you can do. If it's because he wants something that you're not giving him, then you may have to fulfill him to keep him. Try reminding him of the time you spent together and remind him that you are a human too, and not just something to be thrown away. Tell him that he might just be having second thoughts and that they'll pass if he just sees that you are right for him and have been from the start.

Don't totally believe your friend until you hear it from the source itself, which is your boyfriend. I'm not saying you shouldn't trust what your friend says/heard but.. you know, things can be twisted around or misunderstood.
This whole, dumping thing shouldn't be in the question. You say you love him.. you dont want to lose him.. you'll do anything for him but ask yourself is he willing to do the same for you? If the answer's yes, talk to him about it. That's the only way you'll know for sure if the rumor is true or not.

Hey i know you don't want to hear this right now but you have to be able to say good bye if he's made up his mind to let you go. If you can't be without him then you can't be.
You're better than that, bigger than that and you can probably get any guy you wanted so don't depend on someone to make you happy because at the end of the day it's up to you to decide what you want out of life. He's you everything you say, but what were you before him? Even if he makes you happy if he dosen't see the person you are and if he doesn't think you're the one for him then maybe he's not the one for you.
I'm sorry if you hate me for saying it but whatever you decide i hope you make the right choice.
Best wishes.

He cannot be much of a boyfriend if he has not left a vehicle of communication open to you whilst he is away. What of mobile phones, e-mails, carrier pigeons? Even worse, he has told your friend he wants to dump you without telling you!
It could be that your friend is being bitchy, however.
I feel that the guy could be a waste of space, and that you could compound the problem by "doing anything he wants". What if he wants to insert various inanimate objects into your intimate areas? I've known it happen ( I work for the Criminal Justice system).
Anyone who buggers off without leaving a contact address/phone number/ means of getting in touch is an utter cad. Take it from me. I'm fifty, and whilst I have been in a stable and loving relationship for the last ten years, I've had my share of shite. I'm a bloke, and women can be just as bad as men.
Dump him.

you'll willing to do "anything" to keep him? Whoa....you're looking for a bruisin kid. .....you didn't say your age but you sound a little possessive and very needy. That's not a good way to be.
How do you know what your friend said is true? You've already made up your mind even before you talked with him.
What's so important about "now"...that you can't lose him "right now"? Is it a peer judgment thing?
I can't address his feelings cause you didn't say anything about him...seems this is all about you.

OK, first off your friend, isn't your friend ok? She's trying to stir up s.hit for you ok?
Second, assuming he's telling the truth- that he does want to break up with you? He's doing you a favor- you just don't realize it. The reason why he's doing you a favor is its better to end a relationship BEFORE something bad happens- like marriages, or children who won't be loved, or divorce attorneys ok?
So, your soul hurts- you'll get over it, and get on with life.

If he no longer cares for you how do you think you're going to MAKE him love you. if he doesn't love or want you anymore than move on. You cannot make anyone like or love you. They either do or they don't. I'm sorry if you hurt, but life is full of painful moments. Look at it this way, it's his loss.

Are you sure that your friend isn't just telling you this because she's interested? When you talk to him just let him know what she told you. Ask him what the problem is and tell him that you'd like to work it out.
