OUCH! poor you !
Your toe will take a week or two, to heal completely,
but you should be able to walk with it, by Monday..
it should start feeling more comfortable soon
you need to protect the area with a dressing ,
and wear reasonable/ sensible shoes ;
stitches if any ,are taken out between 5 - 7 days after surgery
>^,,^< all the best ....

No, but you can put a band-aid over it in a few days and wear sandals. If you had the "Root" removed the first week it is important to follow the directions of your foot doctor very carefully. Also, you should be excused from gym until it heals. Get your doctor to write you an excuse. If he/she just removed the piece of toenail sticking into the skin at the top, then you'll be completely back to normal.
Do not be afraid to use Neosporin ointment on your toenail surgery if it starts to look at all red and infected. Do it right away, even before you get to go back to your doctor.

Probably not totally. Will they let you wear open toed sandals or flip-flops to school? I had the surgery. It takes a while before you feel like shovin your toes into a shoe!! Do you soak your toes in warm salt water/ epsom salts a few times a day?? It heals faster that way.

Probably not, it will still be sore and you don't want to stuff it in any sweaty or tight shoes.
