I don't understand that one either, and I also believe in the existence of a "hell". I don't like it when people focus on only one part of the Gospel message to the exclusion of the rest of it. Hell, Heaven, angels, salvation, discipline, sanctification, whatever it is, anytime something is blown out of proportion and taken to an extreme, the actual message suffers. This usually happens with Heaven and Hell, though.
Maybe these people mistake "anger" for "passion", and think they are acting "in somebody's elses' best interest" by screaming about "hell". Personally, I think it shows a large degree of insecurity in the integrity of the message to do it's actual job, when left alone!
It's like putting extra-loud pipes on your sports car. Only a very few people are going to find THAT noise attractive.

no, it is not bc they live in the south like the 1st person said. there are ppl like that all over the nation. the Christians who are like that are worrying more about everyone else than their own faith and in doing so, come out looking the way they do. i don't agree w/ the ppl who do that, but they must feel they are doing the right thing if they are doing it. if someone disagrees w/ someone else's lifestyle or actions, they could rather ask that person if they would like to learn more about Jesus and pray for that person's life to be turned around but I don't agree w/ the ppl who feel they have the right to damn ppl themselves, as if they are the messenger of God telling ppl on earth that if they don't change their lives, then they'll go to hell. that very well may be true, that if they don't change that they will go to hell, but for one to be angry and constantly tell ppl this out of anger rather than love and support, is wrong. the ppl who do that has lost their own way, although they may not see that themselves.

I believe in God too!!!! I also believe God is a loving God, or else he would have all brough us down to Hell, but He was loving giving us a choice to be with him or not. God is also a just God, but merciful. We deserve death b/c we sinned against God, but God made a way with his son dying on the cross for our sins. Now that's a merciful and loving God!

As a Christian, I am sorry u had 2 face that from fellow Christians... No one knows who goes to hell or to heaven.. We know one thing: God is a loving & fair God.. & he is wise enough that he doesn't need our assistance in judging people.
Having said that, I would like to add, please forgive them, it may be out of their care about you that they mistakenly thought that frightening you by hell would scare you into doing the right thing..
Yes, hell exists, & ppl who God judges as deserving it will experience what is worse than our expectations.... However, I do beleive the way into real Chrisitianity is Jesus.. & what is Jesus if he is not LOVE?

I like to think it's a warning. Anyone can go to hell. It depends on what they do with the information they are given. There should be no anger involved with the evangelical process. However I can understand frustration with oneself for not being a good evangelist. Most people who are angry, are really angry with themselves and not with the people they are trying to convert. What they don't understand is that being angry with oneself is still a sin and counterproductive to the kingdom of God.

You have met what we, my brothers and myself call imitation Christians. God Gave man FREEWILL, and so far the experiment is a failure. Freewill was given to promote Freedom, both of which have not been use properly or wisely. As long as you have the IDEA of how you are to behave.
"Do unto others as you would have them do onto you."
When was the last time that you followed that rule? Most people on this planet have a hard time letting others be who they want to be; somebody has to rule them, lord over them, control them, when the true concept of Freedom, is ZERO oppression of any kind. But, there is evil in this world, and it will cause turmoil and hardship, making it hard to be good to other especially when they are not good to you.

All there is is a loving God. Some "christians" are surface christians, plagued by religion. Be perfect, don't smoke or drink, or you're going to hell!!! That's definitely crap, Jesus doesn't say that, because He knows we aren't perfect, and He knows that we do things we shouldn't, because it's in our nature, and that's the whole point of the cross.

Remember there are the ones to claim to be Christians but they are not. Is by they fruits you shall recognize them. I have know some that go to church at least 3 times a week, but they are the most bitter people and most of them are in financial stress, I don't think a loving God wants His children to suffer. What do you think?

because christians really think everyone else except them and their friends are going to hell.
they believe in a god that that will punish you on judgment day and send you to hell.
if the god I fallow sends people to hell... then I would do the same right?
Just like muslims and terrorists

Cool down. It may be just luck that everyone you met is on bad attitude and being angry. God looks into your heart. God knows that you believe in. Worry not for others, as it is also non of your business to judge them. Show your love and passion unto them. Pour your heart out. Its always more blessed to bless. :)
