There are many prophetical statements from prophet Muhammed that tells he swore many times to kick out all Jews and Christians from Arabian peninsula and only Muslims would live there. He already kicked out all Jewish tribes (Banu Nadir, Banu Koyanka'a, and Banu Korayza) and his followers completed that mission that he set.

The statements are too many to mention. However, you can start with those links and I am sure you can find many more (they are all in Arabic):

Salam (Peace)!

I do not know where you got the reference unless you read those hadith in arabic. I am a Muslim and i've never read or heard of any such thing. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) lived side by side with jews and christians and pagans. And even Muslims after him did. Read "the Sealed Nectar". It's the biography of Prophet Muhammad.
Also, be aware of site which are false and created to mislead people.
Take care.
Seek the truth. God willing you will find it.

Hi, I haven't read anywhere in Prophet Muhammad's biography that he swore to kick out all Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula. When Prophet Muhammad first began preaching Islam and the Muslims were persecuted in Makkah a group of them sought refuge in Abyssinia, a predominantly Christian Kingdom in East Africa. When the Prophet left with the Muslims to Medina he drew up an agreement with the Jewish tribe there that they would be allies of each other. It was only when the Jews betrayed the Muslims during a battle with the Quraish (the pagans from Makkah who came to destroy the Muslims) that one of their tribes were exiled from Medina and another tribe which took up arms against the Muslims had their Men executed. Islam teaches that there is no compulsion in religion. If you go to the Middle East, to this day, you will find millions of Christians living there from centuries ago. You may also want to do some research on the Moorish Empire under which according to the Jews themselves they had a golden age of scholarship. After the inquisition the Jews along with Muslims were forced to leave and were accepted in the Ottoman Empire. The animosity that we are seeing these days toward Jews is very recent, largely due to Israel-Palestine conflict and ignorance. p.s: Why don't you list your sources in English so that we can really see what they say?

You are totally mistaken in assuming that all Christians or Jews were kicked out. Jewish people were living right in Medina when he died. His daughter used to attend the weddings of the Jewish folks who were his friends.

Please recall that the ONLY JEWISH TRIBES that you describe were the ones that sided wth his enemies, the pagan Arabs, who were themselves his own relatives, tribesmen and co-nationals.

The Prophet of Islam stood up to teach monotheism, when he had no forbearers like Abraham, Moses, David or Jesus who had done the spade work for him. He single handedly turned his entire nation to the ONE GOD and permanently, when even Moses found his nation was making the golden calf due to his short absence of forty days!! AND THAT, after seeing all kinds of miracles.

Please also know that Prophet Mohammad had friendships with the Christians of several places and he talked to them and had good relationships with them. When the Christians of Rome and Persians were fighting, the heart and mind of the Prophet and the Muslim community was with the Christians and in fact there is a prediction that initially the Persians will win, but later on Romans (christians of his time) will overcome the Persians.

Please do not associate the actions of others after the Prophet to the Prophet of Islam. Do not use hadeeth, as many hadeeth were created by people with hidden agendas. The son of the enemy of the Prophet collected more hadeeth than anyone else. He used to pay one gold coin to any NEW hadeeth. A lot of bogus and propaganda hadeeth were created during this phase. Many of the hadeeth related to Abu Hurairah were of this origin.

Remember also that the enemies of the Prophet who later came to power, also attacked his old Christian friends, such as the Negus of Najran, the king of Ethiopia and the King of egypt, who had all shown respect and communicated with the Prophet of Islam, because he was teaching his people to love Jesus and his mom Mary.

Please be fair and do not repeat propaganda without understanding.

Why would a man who is fighting his own people, his own tribe and his own nation give the Jewish folks in Arabia concessions when he was fighting to establish their elite as the elite of the Arabs.

Also remember that the Jews of Arabia or the World at that time of the life of the Prophet were total losers. They had no money, no country, no political power. There was no reason for a false prophet to adopt them as his example.

Imagine George W. Bush adopting the religion of some American Indian tribe, and adopt their faith for his nation and begin fighting against fellow Americans to establish it... and turn all americans to that faith. Is that possible?

I would say impossible, unless the Hand of God is with Bush. How can you say someone is a false Prophet when most people can not even control or direct their teenagers or all of their family, let alone their entire nation.

Remember these are the ancestors of the Palestinians, Iraqis and Lebanese, and Mohammad was no super power of his time. If you consider the above points with a clear and open mind, you will soon realize that a false prophet can not defeat the TRUE GOD under such heavy odds.

Peace.

Actually, they can live there but cannot go to MEcca and MEdina, the holy citites. HE kicked out those Jewish tribes because they broke the covenant they had. There are a lot of non muslims living in Saudi Arabia, which is almost all of Arabian Peninsula. I have seen a lot of them in Saudi Arabia.

ALL you people who say that in Islam it is like convert or die. iTs not like that. Islam gives you a choice. But if you opress the people of Islam, then you can fight back.

TO Whynotaskdon:

You are ignorant! We dont believe in moon god. There were pagans in the arab region at that time and they used to worhsip idols. After Muhammad came, he eradicated these idols.

u r totally wrong and those "ahadeth" is false and not said by the prophet Mohamed . Our prophet (PBUH) his mission was to call jews and christians to Islam ,how come for some one call others to islam to kick them out?!!!! ofcourse he didn't.
And if u read in our prophet life u will know that he dead and his armor was mortagaged with a jew.
Simply it means that after conquet Mecca "although in this period Islam was so strong" there were jews and christians lived and still live in it However what muslims and our prophet had suffered b4 that from jews.....u know why he didn't treat them as they had because what he was looking for was more important to get revenge....He had a meesage from Allah to tell.

I don't know what history books you've been reading, but Muhammad unified many different tribes of Jews, Christians, Pagans, and Muslims and brought them into his 'Ummah' or community. He certainly did not vow to throw them out. For more information, check out this biography: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0062508865/sr=8-2/qid=1156623617/ref=sr_1_2/102-0138399-2476146?ie=UTF8

It's not written by a muslim, so you'll get an unbiased perspective.

In Islam, the primary right of the People of the Book is to be protected and safeguarded against any foreign aggression, and Muslims are compelled to protect them in the event such a transgression falls against them. Al-Qaradawi bases his standpoint about this on jurisprudential texts and the position of Imam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) while speaking to Qultoo Shah—a Tartar—regarding the freeing of prisoners of war (POWs). Qultoo Shah agreed to set Muslim POWs free upon Ibn Taymiah’s request; however, the latter insisted that Christian POWs be released with the Muslims, which was what happened in the end. This stand by IbnTaymiyah reflects the perspective of jurisprudence on the subject of the right to external protection.

The Muslim state must also defend minorities against internal injustice or oppression, such that they cannot be subject to any form of wrongdoing by the state or its sponsors; and overlapping evidence from the Qur’an and the Sunnah clearly prohibits any sort of injustice against noncombatant non-Muslims living peacefully within a Muslim state. To this effect, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was reported to have said, “He who unfairly treats a non-Muslim who keeps a peace treaty with Muslims, or undermines his rights, or burdens him beyond his capacity, or takes something from him without his consent; then I am his opponent on the Day of Judgment” (Abu Dawud and Al-Bayhaqi). He (peace and blessings be upon him) is also reported to have said, “He who harms a non-Muslim who keeps a peace treaty with Muslims has harmed me, and he who harms me has harmed Allah” (At-Tabarani in Al-Awsat with a good chain of transmission).

Not only was this the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the issue, but the Rightly Guided Caliphs also practiced this, with several authentic incidents to this effect reported by `Umar ibn Al-Khattab and `Ali ibn Abi Talib.
