John grew up Catholic but his family did not go regularly. When he started to fly at a young age, church on Sunday was out of the question due to his flying schedule.
He joined Scientology in a moment of mental confusion and has not come to his senses yet.
He met Tom Cruise years ago and converted him.
He hopes to meet the aliens when they arrive.
He is married to a lovely lady whose child has MCS - multiple chemical sensitivity and even supports a website on the topic. I do not think this has anything to do with scientology but if you have not heard of MCS you should look it up.
If you have read all this so far, please be aware that my answer above is pulled out of thin air but with a name like Travolta you would think that he would have been born to Catholic parents. I do know he flies and that started young and the MCS think is real too. Kelly Preston is his wife and I hope the kid is doing ok now.
I may not get best answer for all this but I may be the wordiest.
