Some people want to go really slow. She might be interested in you, but want to get to know you as a friend first. Then after you've been friends for a few months you can try flirting with her and turning it romantic. She's not looking for a fling of a few weeks, she's looking for somebody she can date for years and maybe even marry someday. If that's not what you want, forget about it.

In my experience, when a girl says she just wants to be your friend, it means she's not interested in being with you romantically. It's a just a nicer way of saying, "sorry, but you're not it for me." If I were you, I'd move on... there are "other fish in the sea" as they say. Good luck.

which kinda sucks..
