I am volunteering for UNICEF and have set up a web site to take donations (which go directly to UNICEF) to help aid the world's children who are in need of Emergency Response situations.

I started off the donations with the 1st pledge, and have set a goal of $1K. Please help me reach [and exceed] that goal. Let's save some of these children who desperately need our help. Click on the link below to help. Every little bit counts. :)

Thanks,

Jitna

$17 can immunize a child against the 6 major childhood diseases.

$40 can provide large wool blankets to protect ten children from the cold/winter weather during an emergency.

$60 can provide enough vaccine to immunize 60 children against polio.

$101 can provide 10 families with a Basic Family Water kit for use during emergencies.

$648 can buy a Supplementary Dry Feeding kit that contains equipment for mixing and distributing food, enough to feed 500 moderately malnourished children

If you wish to donate to Unicef you can do it directly. I agree Unicef is a worthy cause, but donations you your fund are not tax deductible.
