Did you report the person you got this dog from...if not, you need to. What they are doing is illegal. Second of all, you really shouldn't take in a pet if you can't afford to take care of it...but I probably would have done the same thing (heck, I would have probably taken all the dogs and found homes for them).
His tummy is upset from the vomitting, and he likely won't poop for up to 24 hours after a bout of diarrhea (sometimes even longer). When he does poop, the dewormer will cause runny stools and you'll likely see worms...don't worry, it's normal.
Check out this link...this site is run by vets, very reliable good info. http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=353.
If you follow this and he's keeping the water down after the first few times, start to give him food. You'll want to give him a bland diet...and very small amounts to make sure he's keeping it down, then increasing the amount and decreasing the frequency of feeding. Are you able to get to a vet to buy I/D prescription food? If you are, that will work best. If not, you will need to make him a sensitive stomach food to feed him for about 3 days. The canned I/D runs about $1 a can, so would be pretty cheap if you can get it. If you make him food, you can give PLAIN yogurt, and/or a combo of cooked rice and boiled hamburger or chicken...about 1-2 cups of meat for every 3-4 cups of rice.
If he's still vomitting with nothing going in or it starts again with the water or food, you need to call the vet back. If he doesn't want to eat or drink, you may need to force him...buy a syringe and squirt very small amounts into his mouth...along his jaw line or you could choke him. For force feeding, you can take small bits in your fingers and either rub in on the front of his gums or open his mouth and put it on his tongue...make sure he doesn't choke on it. Good luck. If you need more ideas, email me through my profile (click on my username and the profile will come up) and I'll gladly try to find more info for you.

Poor puppy! I guess the best advice I have is to ask someone like a family member or a close friend to borrow the money. The puppy isnt going to get better on his own, so he needs to see the vet. The vet can examine him, run some tests if need be, figure out whats wrong, and begin treatment. Although we want to help here on Yahoo Answers, we cant do any of these things!
When I got my puppy a few months back he was very sluggish and lethargic, not moving or playing like typical puppies do. One day we noticed he puked up a really long worm (thank GOD I didnt see it!). We gave him worm medicine and within a few days he was transformed into a playful puppy.
The difference between my puppy and yours, from what I can tell, is that my puppy still had a healthy appetite. If you're puppy is not eating its no wonder he has nothing to poop out! So maybe there is something wrong with your puppy beyond the worms, and who knows how serious that problem is. Plus, since puppies are just starting out in life they have weaker immune systems than older dogs. Given that fact, and the fact that he was found in such a terrible situation, its no wonder he's sick, and who knows what he has!
Once again, only a vet can tell you for sure, so if you're really worried and would like to have this puppy as a friend for life, then you're going to have to do anything you can to get the money as fast as you can. If you cant think of anyone who would loan you the money, what about those check cashing or loan places that will loan you money until you get paid? Or maybe the vet will hold your check until a particular day...never know until you ask.
Good luck, I hope the puppy pulls through!

What kind of wormer did u give the pup????? Nemex 2 is a great over the counter wormer I have used it and usually it will take a good 12 hours for the wormer to work. Usually it will take this long for any of it to start working. Do not worry about getting your dog to eat right away as the worms will make its stomach really upset. Usually a pup will try and drink alot of water when they are wormy, hope the worms do not cause it to go into parvo. Worms bring the immune system down so much.
Go to your local farm supply store and see if they have a powder called bounce back, this is for very stressed and malnourished animals it puts back the electolytes and enzymes they loose from being stressed and malnourished. Mix it with warm water and there is something in it they just cannot refuse, and if it will not drink it willingly give by eye dropper.
Good luck with the pup and you did a great thing by trying to save this pup.

I got my puppy last week too. She had worms and the vet gave us some medication for the diarrhea and the worms. She didn't poo for over 12 hours, and when she did ut was quite a bit but not nearly as gross as it is with worms. Now she only goes about twice a day and prefers soft food to crunchy dry food. She also prefers it with some peanut butter mixed in. Just let your pup lay around for now. I'm sure it doesn't feel great having worms and stuff.

First let me say that your puppy needs to go to the vet pronto! But it sounds as if the pup has gone through some stress and a change of environment which can cause diarrhea and a major decline in appetite. You can try to give him steamed rice with boiled chicken or chopped meat to stimulate his appetite. Replace his water with pedialite if you can get him to drink anything. But let me stress again the need to get this pup to the vet pronto. Good luck.

Hello there. Your vet is really the only person who can help your puppy. Typically they will never give advice over the phone. Most likely your puppy has worms that can be very dangerous for him. If he is not popping it is very dangerous because all the toxins stay within him and do not get eliminated so he can get blood poisoning. Or his intensitens can rupture. Plese-DO NOT TREAT HIM YOURSELF it can kill him. Having animals is a responsibility so it is important to know that you can provide a medical care for him because animals get sick just like children. Most good vets might allow you to make payment in 2 or 3 installments or may hold your credit card # on file. Talk to them, be genuine and sincere. And put a little money aside from your paycheck for emergency care for your puppy. Thanks for saving him. Please take him to a vet ASAP

Take him to the vet even before you get paid and work something out with them about payment, before he gets too sick and in danger of losing his life. Meanwhile, see if he will drink "pedialyte" or any similar drink from a drugstore, you don't need a prescription but don't get gatorade, ask the pharmacist for the kind that's just water and minerals to fix the balance in your body, like we give to vomiting kids and patients.

Go and turn the puppy in at the local shelter. If you cannot afford to take the pup to the vet until next week, he could die. You need to accept the job of taking care of it. It could be parvo, it could be something else. Roundworms do not usually cause critical problems...all puppies have them until they are wormed.
Borrow money, get a credit card, or get the puppy to the shelter!!!!!!!!

Cook up some rice and add some beef broth to it and maybe a scrambled egg mixed in. I wouldn't feed him too much, just a little bit to get him started eating. If he will eat that for a day or two mix some in with his regular food and cut out the egg.

It sounds more like parvo thats making him sick.
my puppy had parvo and i had to take him to the vet with no money, they gave me the cheapest treatment possible which was a hydration bag and i.v. to take home.
and when I was to pay the front desk for the visit and hydration bag (90 dollars) I walked out instead and they billed me later and by then I had the money and I paid the bill.
good luck .
