i know it cant be good for my dog to just lay around and watch tv all day. we have a back yard but the only time she goes outside is to go to the bathroom. i have tried to go out there with her and play but she just plays for a few minutes and lays down. i have tried all different kinds of games but she just loves to sleep and just lay there. everyon in my house sleeps at different times and she is always with whoever is sleeping. the only time she wants to do anything is when we take her for a walk or take her on car ride. we do those things very oftem but i still think she should get more excersize. my sisters dogs run all around the house and in the back yard and go for walks i understand that every dof is different but is this normal. we have seen the vet and she doesnt have any health problems. she gets mor attntion then any dog in the world we are always talking to her and petting her and there is always someone home. how can i get her to be more active. or is this okay.

i take her on walks all the time that is her only form of excersize and we take her with us when ever we can in the car

Okay, she's been to the vet, good start. Is the dog overweight? If so she needs to be put on a diet. While on the subject of food What do you feed her? Our pets need quality pet food. Next do more interactive play with her. If she will only play for a short time, do it more often. Get some healthy treats and teach her some tricks, she may be bored. Walk her on different routs so she don't feel like...been there, did that. Good luck.

take your dog out of the house with you.. your dog is bored of you.. thats why she lays around.
Take her on a walk. let her walk and socialize with other dogs, at a dog park.
