We usually have two variants. The first one is outright terrorism, search and destroy, dive bombing my feet or legs, knocking stuff off of any surface, galloping like loud horses, etc. The rest of the time, my male cat makes a few sweet bird-chirping sounds, then he goes into "the pattern", which involves circling my head, by crawling over me at the waist and kissing and sticking full whiskers in my face. Even if I hug and pet him, this continues until I kick him out of the room or he decides he's hungry and goes to check out the food dish.

That's hysterical!
One of my cats used to walk back and forth across my back when I tried to bury myself under the covers so he couldn't have access to any body parts to nip or lick. Twelve pounds of massage.

My older cat Koko sleeps with me. He likes to have his head on the pillow and be under the covers too. He's 13 and he's been that way since I found him when he was 3 weeks old. (Someone had dumped him in a river near my house. Cruel a**hole!) My other two cats must have a meeting out in the hallway before entering to decide their plan of attack. They have several strategies but their favorite involves Circuit making a flying leap onto the bed and then announcing her presence quietly at first then gradually get louder. She then does a lap around the bed and shoots off back down the hallway. Enter Austin, who takes aim and jumps onto the bed being sure to land as close to my stomach as possible (on it seems preferable to him). He will make a funny sort of purring/meowing sound and the proceeds to walk across my stomach a couple of times before sitting down and making a kneading motion in my armpit. It tickles and hurts at the same time because he puts all his weight into it, and he's got 13lbs. to work from. By this point they have irritated Koko so much that he wakes up and curses them both in cat language. At least they are courteous enough not to come and bother me until they hear the alarm go off. I never have the option of hitting the snooze button with them around!

We have the search and destroy...our Sceney Beezie, a young female Bombay who bites toes. We have the bird chirper...Beebe, a Tabby man who rules the house who also puts his whiskers in our faces and squeaks when we open our eyes. We also have the "personal assistant", Blue Girl, a Russian Blue stray we took in. She climbs on top of our stomachs if we are laying on our backs and starts to make motions that she must've learned at the adult bookstore! The other 3 cats wait until we get out of bed to lambast us for sleeping too darned long!

Because my two cats fight and wrestle on the bed all night if we let them sleep with us, and are generally annoying in the wee hours, we shut them out of the room at night. As punishment, at about 5am, one or the other starts making this horrible yowling sound, and then commences to hurtle itself bodily at the door for long periods of time. One time, after doing this for about 45 minutes, the hurtling against the door actually opened it, and "Isabel" was so surprised that she just kind of sat, dumbfounded, in the doorway and didn't even come in. Gotta love that.

If I haven't gotten up by 8:00, my always-hungry cat usually starts with finding a piece of paper or her scratching board and clawing really loudly. Or there's always the old bite on the arm. My bf reacted badly to that one once, and she wound up flying across the room.

Pookie licks my nose, Siegfried yowls, Lola tickles my face with her whiskers, Raccoon licks my hands or arms, and Inky growls at all the others when they come into the room.
Georgia waits for me by the food dish. The dog thinks they are idiots. They have similar opinions of the dog.

Awww that last one is so cute!
My cat has learned how to knock on our front door by jumping up grabbing hold of the ledge where the window is and with the other paw he holds the knocker and continues to knock on it till someone goes and answers it!!!
This is usually about 7am!

My cat, Butterscotch, usually licks my nose when she hears me start to stir around. She then proceeds to lick my hand when I'm reaching out to push her away from my nose. If I don't pay attention to her she'll flop on my pillow and swat at me until I do. It's a lovely wake up call in the morning.

One or both usually jumps back and forth between the window and my side of the bed, which is next to it..back and forth and back and forth they will go..if that doesn't get me up, and even tho they have the WHOLE house to do this in, they will play-fight with each other on the bed with me...the worst that they do is use my box spring as a scratching post, which I'm sure they know gets a "quit it!" out of me..and gets me up too..lol..

Mine just comes in the room every morning meowing. Then jumps up onto the bed and rubs against me and tries to rub against my skin so it digs under the covers, weirdly. It doesn't even stop if I pet it but I guess it's because it was lonely all night.

Mine licks my face, climbs under the covers, then back to the pillow. Sometimes he gives me a little munch on the scalp. (Doesn't hurt - it's a "Love Bite")
I had one once I dubbed "The Sentinel". He slept all night on my back & I got up every morning stiff and sore. He'd give me kitty kisses on the cheek when the alarm went off. Although I ached every morning, when he got sick and later died (renal failure), I sure missed my little Sentinel. :-(
