Is she registered for wedding gifts anywhere? You should make it real special, as she is your sister. I usually go overboard with gifts, especially for family. The Hallmark stores have lots of wedding gift ideas, maybe a pretty picture frame. Or a scrapbook , made for wedding memories, with lots of things to put in it. I am the type that cannot give just ONE gift, people get many. You could get an American Express gift card for whatever amount you want, and it can be used ALMOST anywhere in the world. I think Mastercard and VISA have gift cards too. I think little teddy bears dressed as a bride and groom are adorable and would be a nice gift. You could make a gift basket for the honeymoon, with champagne, fruit, cheese, crackers, chocolate and maybe some good smelling lotions and soap. Give her some film, if she doesn't have a digital camera, for the honeymoon. Some pretty plants would be nice for her new home. They should be BIG and have lots of flowers on them.
Or a gift basket with goodies for them to share, like brownies, cupcakes, chocolate candy, cookies, etc Have fun buying something for your sister and her husband to be. Good luck

Look....this is your sister. Anybody can give her money or a coffee pot of a Home Depot gift card.. I think she would appreciate something very personal from you, her blood. Think of something that you and her shared as children. Maybe assemble a scrapbook of your childhood pictures together through the years to this point. Weddings for the bride are super special and all of us are supposed to get married only once....remember your creating a lifetime memory for her on this day. a good tug on those heart strings and some tears of joy.

if scrapbooking isnt your bag, how about a heartfelt poem or speech.....i can tell you through my years on earth , nothing has meant more to me than words someone wrote to me more than anything else. also...being an only child...i'll never get a chance to do what you can do for your sibling.

whatever you choose...make it special and genuine...

and i would really like to know what you decide....thanks.

How close are U? ask her if there is something special she would like from you Perhaps you have something she admires that is a gr8 treasure and you would be willing to gift it to her on her special day...or ask your mom what she knows or thinks or listen for hints in your conversations W/ sis or be very imaginative and generous or you have a bit of a while to figure this out have fun .

i would get her something personal. I agree that anyone can get her something off her registry. You're her sister, so it should have more thought involved. How about nice earrings that are her birthstone? Or a ring with both her and her husbands birthstone it. Or an engraved necklace? Something that she can look at forever and say "My sister gave me this for my wedding."

I just got married and where we weren't registered anywhere most of our guests got us gift cards for the main stores we shop at. So I suggest getting her a gift card at one of her stores on her Register if she has one made that is

Get a nice photo album for them. Have their names engraved on it and put one picture of them together in it. The rest can be for their wedding photos.

Traditionally it's a money gift anywhere from $50-$150.
If she's registered anywhere, you can buy her something to put in her new house.
