There is no such thing! A dog requires more responsibity than that. You could look into volunteering options if you want to be able to spend time with puppies/dogs. That way you and the dog would benefit.

You can't leave any dog alone for that long regularly--ESPECIALLY not a puppy.
If you're away for 15 hours and presumably sleeping 8, why would you possibly want a puppy that you're going to spend an hour with? That is, for a couple weeks, until it goes nuts being alone all the time and pisses over everything and chews your place up and you say, "Man, what's wrong with this stupid dog?" and dump it off at the local shelter.
Find a friend that has a dog you can visit with. Volunteer at your local SPCA.

does it have to be a puppy. You should get two dogs. Make them dogs of hte same sex or neuter them. (sorry if it distracted anyone, because some peopel are against that)
you shoudl get a dog at an animal shelter near you, so you can give it a home after being abandonded. Maybe you could get dogs that are fairly well trained. So that you will skip a little bit of the training, but still, there's always work to be done.
then the TWO dogs could accompany each in play.

Dogs are pack animals, and if you bring a dog into your home you are makinghim/her part of your "pack". If you leave the dog he will feel abandoned, and will either become depressed or agressive and either way your house might be destroyed. You could possibly get two dogs, to provide continued companionship, but that is twice the cost, and responsibility and will not replace you as an adequate provider for your animal. (If anything it will probably make things worse) If you must be away from home for long periods of time you would do better to get a cat.

Okay, for that reason dont get a puppy. You are going to have to pup train, take it out, water and feed it, etc.
Get a kitty or something that IS independant for that long.
I would HIGHLY SUGGEST that! ^
15 hrs a day is A LOOOOONG time for a puppy to be by itself. Even a dog too.
You can get a puppy as long as its with the neighbors or Doggie Daycare for MOST of the day!!!
I would recomend a Golden Retriver. I have had them all of my life and they are great dogs, loyal, patient, easy to train, etc.
If you want a smaller dog I would suggest a Besenji- they are nice dogs, quite, easy to train, etc.
You could adopt too, petfinder.com!
Hope this helps a little.

hi, i no you probably don't want to hear this, but no dog or cat can go that long without a human companion, especially a puppy, before you think about getting one, you might want to create a schedule that has more more free time, then you could start to consider a dog, but not a puppy, in fact, i am sry to tell you, that a pet is not the best choice for you right now, sry... : (

Get a cat.
Take my advice. DO NOT GET A PUPPY! Even if it is an independent breed, it will still get bored and will find all sorts of trouble to get into. I would not recommend a dog at this point in your life period, unless you can afford to hire a dogwalker to come everyday and spend time with it.

You are a loser. Do you think it is fair to anything other than a goldfish to be left alone for 15 hours a day????? Either get a lifestyle change, or forget a puppy.

not many dogs can go that long with out someone there to give them attention. that's y some dogs chew up the house or pee in it. dogs need attention if you want a pet that can go that long without attention, get a bird or some kind of reptile.
