Yes, take Benadryl and it should go away in time. For the itch itself, use calamine lotion or some other itch relief lotion. If that doesn't seem to work, apply wet cloths or a cold compress to the affected area. If you have a bathtub, take a bath with a little oatmeal or baking soda poured into the tub (a few tablespoons).

I was going to say Benadryl but if it isn't working for you I would suggest asking for something stronger from the doctor, perhaps even a shot. I'm am pretty sure if Benadryl won't work none of the other over the counter meds will work either.
