Well, I'll try and give you a decent answer.

The muscles in fish run, basically, in rings down the length of their bodies, a bit like the rings in a tree stump.. If you think about the way a fish swims, it moves it's whole body from side to side using these muscle rings. These different muscle segments are the flakes you get when fish is cooked. The fatty layer between the segments melts with the heat, leaving the fish flaky. Hope this helps - it's rather hard to put into words!

That's just the way that God made them. Every animal has a certain texture to them. Beef has a meaty, chewy texture, chicken has a soft texture and fish has a flaky texture.

It is because fish are very flaky in their nature, if you watch fish for a while you will see what I mean, they forget their keys, lose their wallets, that is why they never get anywhere

They just cant concentrate properly on anything, even wiping their bums, quite often I see fish in my daughters tank with a long line of poo hanging off them, have they not heard of toilet paper

So Flaky minds, flaky texture

hope this helps

The term "flaky" is used when dining to describe a fish that is fragile or sort of layered, like Tilapia for instance. Tilapia falls apart somewhat easily (therefore I recommend it NOT GRILLED as it is easily damaged). The opposite of "flaky" is "firm" such as bass. This term means just that. It's used to describe a fish that is denser and stays together more easily. Other terms to describe fish are sweet, mild, and fishy (like salmon which has a very fishy taste and smell to it) Bon appetite!
