first question is how ofter do you get your hair cut? If only once or twice a year there is your problem. You should get your hair cut every 4 to 6 weeks. If you don't your hair will split right up the hair shaft causing you to have split ends even after you get it cut . Having it cut more frequently will eliminate that problem

How your hair looks and feels comes from inside and outside. If you dont get enough vitamins, or if you use too much irons to style your hair or maybe if your hair are curly, they have split ends. Especially if you have a long hair you cant do anything to prevent split ends, avarage hair grow half inch every month, so you can caunt how old is your ends. Only good advice, or good to try is you salong products! Behind the bottle is a INC list, that list says what kind of stuff they have been used to make that product. The first name in INC list means that product is the main ingredient in it. To make your hair look good you need a silicones. You can recognize silicone from its name, for example Cyclomethicone, or Dimethicone, usually every GOOD silicone ends with CONE. Im talking about good silicones in salong products because, when you buy a product from the store it coats your hair surface and that causes problems when you try to color you hair next time. Good product which you can ask from salong, for split ends is a silk drops, that should help. I hope that helped atleast a liitlebit :)
