I have been charged with this. I am 18 years old and was caught drinking. I know there is a fine and I'm not worried about that. I failed the tests that they ran but they never took my Blood Alcohol Level. They said there is a chance my license could be taken away even though I wasn't driving. If somebody has had the same problem how often do they take your license away? Is there anyways to beat this in court?

I think I'm done drinking until I'm 21. Two more years! Whenever I do drink I always stay at that place. I know not to drink and drive and yes sometimes its better to watch your buddies get messed up!

You are screwed in some states. Expect to lose your license at least for a year. Get a lawyer to plead your case. it doesn't sound like they have any physical evidence against you but they do have the officer's testimony and that goes a long way. At least you didn't get a MIP, minor in possession. or a DUI, driving under the influence. A good lawyer will show up and you will normally have no problem, but if you do this on your own, the court will assume that you do most things on your own and make an example of you.

Don't do the crime if ya can't do the time.

You'll probably get out of it - but you are not going to do it again right?

You have a designated driver right? You be that person from now on. Drinking is a nasty habit - and it's much more fun to watch your buddies get messed up and not be hung over.
