Hey there
Do you even notice that it’s all wrong?
That we’re all wrong?
That I am just a girl you bring along.
But I know you are searching for something more.
And I can’t stand in your way
Anymore.
I don’t know where things fell apart
But they did
And we grew apart.
So here I say
Goodbye.
It’s time,
It’s time,
Goodbye.
Just don’t stick around and ask me why
Just move on
Leave me now
When you see me in a crowd, just pass me by.
Because I know deep down that
We’re not right.
It’s not right.
So take this song
And move along.
And as I cry
It’s okay.
I’m okay.
It’s time,
It’s time,
…goodbye.

Eh, it's cliche. I don't know why everyone here is raving about it, because its cliche at best. Try to add something different to it; I've read and heard a billion song/poems like this before. It's a breakup song, obviously, and we've all had breakups. Why is this one different? Make us care about it. I don't know, I don't want to be crazy mean or something, but it doesn't get any strong reactions from me and you said you wanted honesty.

Love the lyrics. Would be even better if we could listen to it. But after reading the lyrics sounds like the song is going to be beautiful no matter what. Great Job!

It doesn't seem like it would be long enough to be a song. It's more like a poem. Thats not criticism though. I'm just saying that. I really like it. It's good. You should keep writing and you might have a career at this because not too many people can write like that. Good job.

They're good but it's not a poem so it really depends on the music and beat that go with it. You could send it as the next Paris Hilton hit.

Well, color me surprised. When I saw your question, I expected to see some low-grade adolescent pseudo-poetry. My honest reaction is that it's pretty good. I especially like the line about "just a girl you bring along." That says a lot in just a few words.

Good job...

I think it's lovely, it sums up the feelings of of people who know that the love has gone. And it is a sad time. I'm nearly crying! (memories!) And your only 17. Good luck for your future.

Sounds fine, but hard to tell without knowing the music or beat. I hope you are not depressed in real life.
