I have been thinking of buying a Ragdoll for many months now. I have now got all the things i need, just looking for a kitten!
I have found someone very local advertising kittens but they arnt a registered breeder. He tells me that he has two pedigree ragdolls that have 'accidently' bred. He assures me that they are registred but he just cant find the papers for them. I am a) concerned that they may have been bred from brother and sister, and b) that they might not be pure Ragdolls. I only want them as pets, but wanted someone to look at the photos the man has sent to me to tell me what they think. Would you mind me sending the pics to you to have a look at and tell me if they look typical of a 9 week kitten?

I'm an experienced Ragdoll breeder - what are your questions?

This doesn't sound right.... All I can do here is keep adding edits -and I can't see the pictures (not that that will show me a whole lot). Can you try to contact me from my profile? I've never tried this before and have a Spamblocker, but be patient - I'll go check the spam.

They could be a Siamese/Persian or something cross. I saw an ad in the paper that said Ragdoll kittens; mother Siamese, father Himilayan! That was nothing but a crossbreed! I called both the person advertising and the newspaper. Purebred Ragdolls are purebred Ragdolls - not a cross between two breeds!

Just emailed you, but cannot log on to my webmail. I'll try rebooting, but I think it's a problem with my ISP. That's happened before....

I am not a breeder, just an owner of 2. My ragdolls did not come with papers but when I saw them it was love at first sight. My 2 ragdolls are brother and sister from different litters. We got a purebred ragdoll for my mom at christmas time.

To be perfectly honest only of the 3 ragdolls my boy has the personality traits ragdolls are known for. He is not papered. I guess I would suggest buying a cat you visit and fall in love with, papers do not mean you are getting a better cat.
