Budgies are great, I have two! I love them (but they love each other more...) They aren't really that loud much, but they can be if they want to. They are a little messy but seed is easy to clean up and so are their poos, they dry quickly and don't smell or stain.

Lovebirds are great as well, and you don't have too get two like many people think. If you get one it will bond to you, but you have to spend lots of time with it. This is true with any birds however. Get one bird if you want it to bond with you and you are willing to spend a lot of time with it, but if you think you might not be able to spend the amount of time needed get two as they get very lonely.

I've never had a canary so I don't know a lot about this bird.

For Lovebirds and budgies, which ever you get, you will have to give them a lot of attention, free flying time out of their cage, lots of toys and a varied diet (ie. more then just seeds) But they're definitely worth it!

I have parakeets and love birds, a canary was bred to only sing the others were bred as pets. But a parakeet or cockatiel will be better then a lovebird sense lovebirds tend to get mean as they get older and that could end up getting you biten and hurt.

I like lovebirds. I had a pair for a long time. They were great together and they loved for you to take them out of the cage. But, I prefer the yellow or peach lovebirds, not the traditional green ones.

This depends on if you want a bird you can handle and interact with, or if you just want scenery. Canaries and lovebirds are okay for scenery. A tame budgie is a better companion

Lovebirds- very pretty, but in pairs are untamable, alone are extrememly loud, with a very high pitched squeel, very messy

Parakeets- sweet little birds, but only ever have one, when you have pairs they NEVER shut up, messy

Canary- my personal choice, very sweet, nice sounding, easy to take of.
