If you know what he likes to do for fun get him a gift certificate. If you want him back then give him all your love and a card to let him know how you feel about him.

go out with him just as friends (but dress up because if you don't he'll think it's not important to you) if he still has feeling for you it would be the sweetest gift anyone has given him and be sure to make it fun but romantic. make him feel that you still care for him make him feel special for his b-day.
