That's going to be a tight squeeze! 12x12...wow; small...a couple of toilets with the proper chemicals to start with...maybe 3; about 20 cases of 24oz waters; as many MRI's as you can buy off EBAY; tons of PURELL and an air filtration system because you're all going to die from carbon monoxide poisoning if you don't filter the air...a good one will cost about 10 grand...

Yeah... games. That'll help.
Listen if you're serious about a shelter here's some things you need.
Water. Lots of it. The body can go longer without food than water.
Dry good food... grains, cereals, bisquits, dried fruit and nuts. Anything that keeps that you don't have to cook. Nothing that needs refrigeration.
Post catastrophe survival gear. Lots of batteries for flashlights. Basic building, cutting tools. Shelter making equipment: tarpoleans, pre cut stakes... metal stakes are even better. Lot's of strong cord and rope. Back up clothing.
Soaps and cleaning chemicals.
A few radios; walky talkies are handy too.
Basic first aid and medicine. I'm talking bandages and dressings, slings and splints. Any disinfectants and anti bacterials, alcohol,
peroxide. Soaps. Toothbrushes and either paste or baking soda.
Bedding, including hammocks to get up off the ground. Tents are also useful.
Some would say guns. Depends on where you live. Some places they might help hold on to what you've got, other places they'll just end up getting you killed. Not sure I'd want to be around in the Gun Time...
People used to take this stuff really seriously. In the fifties and sixties there were bomb shelters all over the landscape. Most of them were never properly stocked. Rarely were they ever used for anything but storage.
If you're thinking survival, ask yourself: if something gets so bad you have to hide out, will you be ready for the way things are when you come up for air?

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.
According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

How long should the stock last? You need tablets to purify water, water, fuel for heating and lighting, sleeping bags, chemical WC, a portable radio, cell phone, flashlights, emergency medical kit, canned goods, can opener, high energy bars, chocolate, raisins and nuts, change of clothes, some towels. Pen, paper and playing cards.

LOL, you moron, cut the bull. With a family that size, you'd have to have a shelter three or four times as large. You're barely going to have room to breathe. And why bother? What would be left of the planet?
