You would probably need to take a placement test with the curriculum of your choice. A lot of curriculum is not at the same level as public schools. I know for a fact that the curriculum I use is about 1 year to 1 1/2 years ahead of Arizona public school.

I don't think so. Just make sure you have someone who knows about home schooling and has the ability to teach you what you need to know to graduate. I think you can start anywhere you want. Learning can be a fun experience and that's how it should be for you at home. It would be nice if your home schooling included lots of field trips as learning experiences, like parks where you can study trees and flowers and zoos to study animals and hiking trips to learn about survival techniques. Also traveling to new cities to learn new cultures would be fun. You have to want to learn, home schooling isn't for someone who thinks it will be a piece of cake.

It would be best to start wherever YOU are at. If you were doing okay in school, then keep going from that. If you were behind in something, take a step back in those subjects. If you were doing really well and it was too easy, try getting harder materials.

Good place to start but you should be able to take a test ( perhaps one in each subject ) to determine where you stand in each and how you ought to proceed.
