Whats A good Seven String guitar?

i was wondering about a good seven string guitar that won't break the bank!
any ideas?

Ibanez and Schector are the only ones I know that make cheaper 7St. guitars. I have a BC Rich and my friend has a ESP and new these were well over $1,500. I have another buddy who is the best guitar player I know personaly and he uses a $500 Ibanez. Look on net for used ones or go to local guitar store and jam out in soundroom with many brands to see whats best for you. I even know a girl who has a cheap Fender and she likes the sound of it and can blow away all of these idiots that think they can play better because they have a $2,000+ guitar. Its real similar to motorcycles, its not always the bike but its always the driver, whether you can or cant play buy what feels right and price comes second.

"Standard" tuning dictates its a "B". However, there was a time in the late 80s where 7 strings were being made with a high "A". That is to say it was a standard 6 string but instead of a high E being the thinest string, there was another string beyond that. Given that 7-strings these days are commercially sold for that low "B", I guess the late-80s marketing for the 'high A' 7 string (which promised you the ability to play any Paganini violin caprice in key) failed once the fad for big hair, spandex o' plenty, & playing violin solos on guitar at ridiculous speeds passed into memory.

Carvin makes good seven string Basses. Have heard a number of them and their owners really liked them. But, they are not a "cheap" guitar. (I am not a bassist. I am a drummer and am very tight with a number of bassists.)

schecter. ibanez are crap. seven string guitars are so seven years ago.
