I knew you're confused.
I'm trying to find out the cost law enforement spend on adult prostition and combating pedophite. I would assume they're spending 10x more on pedophite.

Strange question but I assume you would prefer they spend more on pedophilia.

Both violate the law and both are investigated. It would be impossible to calculate the money spent. Prostitution is easily addressed by the local vice squad or narcotics division (narcotics and prostitution go hand in hand). Prosecution is usually easy, most just plead guilty or become informants.
Pedophiles are usually educated, reasonably intelligent (imagine that), and very paranoid. They often work where they have contact with children and don't get noticed until a child talks.
Prosecution is expensive and children are usually not good witnesses.
Some agencies, usually a big dept or at state level, have divisions dedicated to hunting pedophiles but this is very expensive and not nearly as easy as you think.
Honestly, there is not nearly enough aggressive law enforcement for pedophiles.

Not trying to be rude here... BUT... think about it.... Do you think Law Enforcement spends more money on Prostitution over Pedophilia!!!! Hmmm... Girls on the corner or freaks in a computer.... I am guessing the cost is a little more for that Ped's.. but it is worth it in the long run!!!!

I would sure hope so for pedophilia is much worse and much more incidious. I can tell ya how they can save some money..line the pediphile up in their gun sites and shoot to kill! Prostitution is a nuisance and is known to bring down neighborhoods and spread disease. Pedophilia can ruin a little one for life and can effect many people for years who know the child. I say the cops should go Old West on the creeps butt and take him out. I don't want to hear excuses for this ugly behavior in court.

I think what he's asking is WHAT IS THE COMPARISON between prostitution and pedophilia. NOT is there one.

You can find prostitutes on the street and bust them "en mass" by having a sting operation for a couple of days. Pedophiles are not on street corners and require time and skill to apprehend. Which do you think they will go after? Score more points quickly? Sad but true.
