I understand that men should help out around the house, but shouldn't women do the majority of it in most situations?

I think a woman should do 60% or 70% of the cooking in a relationship since men usually mess up the kitchens to make a sandwich

actually i do all the cooking for my husband at home because he works extra hours and pays 70% of our needs

i love him so much and i can sometimes volunteer by doing the cleaning myself when he is out because he is so generous with me

There's always a division of work. If its a traditional Father Knows Best type of marriage where Dad works and Mom raises the kids, Mom will be doing almost all the housework. If its a marriage where Mom and Dad both have jobs, they will be dividing the housework more evenly. In the Father Knows Best style of marriage, about 10 % of the housework for Dad is not that bad--he'll be at work for 9 or 10 hrs. a day, he deserves some relaxation time when he gets home. Especially if the kids are at school during the day, if Mom is home there's nothing wrong with her doing the housework. Its reasonable.

A relationship should include mutual help. If a man was able to provide a steady income that affords a woman to stay home and take care of the house, then a woman should be mutually helpful and clean.
However, if the woman is working all day and the man is at home working on making his blog take off, then he should be cleaning the house.
People need to be more flexible in their thinking, and open to the idea that a relationship is to help both people out.

Why? You're talking about a partnership here. Unless you're going out earning all of the living expense money, why shouldn't you do your part in keeping the house clean, the dishes done, the meals prepared, etc. If your woman has a paying job outside the home, why should she have to come home and do 90% of the housework too?

It depends if you are bringing home all the bacon and paying all the bills then yes a woman should take care of home. But if the man and woman are both working and both paying bills then its 50/50 cooking and cleaning.

Hey it shouldnt be a matter of who should do more house cleaning, if it needs to be done do it why should i debate about it. If i profess to love my lady, I will do what ever i can to make her life easier, and more stress free. and that means not stressing her out with meaningless bs, takeing as much of her stress as i can upon myself, that my friend is another ingredient. All that little stuff that we think dont matter, our women take into account; and befor you know it ,you dont understand why she is beginning to hate you. It's a love hate relationship, and that hate if not monitored on a daily basis; will ruin you and right now you are building up hate points.

It's a 50-50 deal, especially if the woman holds down a full time job. She's your girlfriend, not your mother. Pull your share of the load.

Unless she's a homemaker, or he's a homemaker, then chores and jobs around the house should be split equally. If the person's main job is keeping the house (does NOT work outside the home), then that is their job and they should do all of it, or have it hired out.

I don't mind cooking, i don't really like to clean when i'm living with a woman because i usually don't do it the way she likes it.. So i let them do it till i figure out how she does things then i help out there.
