CHEESECAKE BROWNIES
First:
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 stick margarine, softened
1 egg
Mix together (it will be crumbly) and press into a greased sheet cake pan.
Second:
1 box powdered sugar
1 8oz cream cheese, softened
3 eggs
Beat thoroughly and pour over cake mixture.
Bake at 350 for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8 inch square pan.
In a large bowl, blend melted butter, sugar and vanilla. Beat in eggs one at a time. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Gradually blend into the egg mixture. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan. Let brownies cool, then cut into squares. Enjoy!

3 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large or 3 small eggs
3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup sugar

3/4 cup walnuts
Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the chocolate. Mix until melted and set aside.
3) In a large mixing bowl add the sugar and eggs. Beat until thoroughly mixed (electric mixer ok).
4) Add the chocolate mixture in with the eggs and mix well.
5) Gradually add the flour, baking powder, and salt while mixing.
6) Add the vanilla extract and mix.
7) Add walnuts.
8) Spread evenly into a well-greased 12 x 7 x 1-inch baking pan.
9) Bake at 350-degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
10) Cool and cut into 2-inch squares.
11) "The more you eat the better you feel. Let's have brownies at every meal."
Makes 20 (2-inch) squares

The trick to good home made brownies is not to over cook them or they come out like cake I've found that any brownie recipe the secret is not to over cook them.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Prepare CREAMY BROWNIE FROSTING; spread over brownies. Cut into squares. About 16 brownies.
CREAMY BROWNIE FROSTING
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
3 tablespoons HERSHEY'S Cocoa
1 tablespoon light corn syrup or honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup powdered sugar
1 to 2 tablespoons milk
Beat butter, cocoa, corn syrup and vanilla in small bowl until blended. Add powdered sugar and milk; beat to spreading consistency. About 1 cup frosting.

New Classic Brownies: makes 16
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
4 oz unsweetened chocolate
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
2/3 cups walnuts/pecans (oprional)
line 8 inch square metal baking pan (not glass) with foil. Melt butter and chocolate together in top of double boiler or in a microwave, stirring often until smooth. Stir in sugar, vanilla, and salt. Add eggs one at a time, followed by flour. Stir until very smooth, about 1 min. Add nuts if using. Scrape batter into pan and bake 20 mins at 400 degrees.
Meanwhile, prepare an ice water bath. Fill large roasting pan with water and ice about 1 inch deep.
When brownies are done (they'll look a bit dry on top) immediately place pan in water bath. Be sure water doesn't spill over into pan!!
Add more ice to water if necessary. Allow to cool completely in bath before removie pan and cutting. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
The ice water bath promises a perfect crunchy top and a soft chewy inside.
double fudge brownies: makes 16
3/4 c white sugar
6 TBs unsalted butter
2 TBs milk
2 cups chocolate chips
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 c flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 TBs confectioners' sugar
put suger, butter, and milk in a medium saucepan and turn the heat on low. Cook stirring constantly until the butter melts and the mixture just begins to boil, about 3 mins. Take it off the heat and add a cup of chocolate chips in the mixture. Stir until chocolate melts. Let the mixture cool for 2 mins.
Add eggs and vanilla to the mixturea nd stir until all the ingredients are well mixed. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until blended. Stir in remaining chocolate.
Scrape mixture into a prepared pan. Spread evenly until smooth. Bake brownies at 325 degrees for about 30-35 mins.
Cool completely then dust with confectioners' surgar
LowFat brownies (80 cal, 0 fat):
3/4 cup unbleached flour
1/4 cup + cocoa powder
1 c sugar
1/4 tsp salt (oprional)
1/3 c unsweetened applesauce
3 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup walnuts (oprional)
combine the flour, cocoa, sugar, and salt. Mix well stir in applesauce, egg whites, and vanilla. Fold in nuts if using.
coat an 8x8 square pan with cooking spray. spread ebatter evenly in pan and bake at 350 for 20-25 mins.
