They say sleep is the cousin of death, but they are not the same. One is for this life the other is for the next. I don't really know about the sleep being a practice for death. That one is a little out there for the unexpected rude awakening. Did you know that scientists up to this day don't know why we sleep. They only have scientific beliefs that are not facts. And most of the general public believe it. For we are programed to accept another's word. Saying we need sleep to re energise and let our body rests. Which is the closest theory that applies to the condition of mankind, but is still not a fact. I even seen on "Ripley's Believe It or Not" a man in europe who has not slept in over 10 years. What he does is go into a meditative state that fools the body which makes the body think it is sleep. And the body in that state tells itself to re energise itself. Because that is what the body is thinking to do. A man who has not slept in 10 years! I wonder what is on his mind?(not to sense of is he deranged, but what does he really know) But saying sleep is a practice field is kind of farfetched to my belief anyways. Because death itself needs no practice. It is a true situation that waits for all of us. Including insects, animals, botanics, and the earth itself. One day. And dogs sleep and do have dreams and I am more than sure they are not practicing for death. They are just looking through a window to a different life. Through dreams. Which humans do all the time. Then ask themselves why did they have that dream. But have a close encounter with death and you will never compare the two ever again. One is reality and the other is a dream. But most think the two are the same.

Sometimes sleep is referring to death. I believe some people go to a place of sleep after their breath leave their physical body.
Human sleeping is really just physically resting and dreaming. Breath is still in human body so this is sleeping. God knows our dreams & protects our sleep. Unless someone has opened doors to the accult (evil spirits).

Sleep is not practice for anything. It happens because our bodies get tired. However, death is similar to a deep sleep in that when you're dead you don't know what's going on and you're not a part of it.

Sleep is so you can recharge for the next day. Each day is like a new life.

a lot of similarity -only you don't dream-have passed out for 3 days and don't rember nothing for that time-so thos who have passed on when they wake it will be as yesterday to them only no memory for all things will be new
happy day
