Every year. Preferably between January and March, for the following school year. You can turn it in later than that but it's best to be earlier.

EVERY Academic year is when the FAFSA is required to be filled out -- and if there are any major changes in your income between this annual update -- you can go ahead and modify your submission. Your school's Financial Aid office should be able to help you understand when you can do the modifications.

every year, around Jan. If you havent filled onbe out for this year, you still can but you may not get as much money as you would have gotten if you would have filled it out earlier. The deadlines are different based on the state in which you are living and the school you plan on attending.

Once a year; and the school should give you a temporary loan against the pending approval.
