What are some things that you like to cook in your crock pot? I love mine... Especially when it's summer and it's too hot to put the oven on. Also I think it saves time because I can put it on before work and then when I get home it is all done.

I use mine all the time, especially when I found what I was saving in cash:
How much electricity is used if they use a crockpot for 8-10 hours? The answer - .21! The answer went on to say that if you were to put something in the oven (to cook it for 2 hours) - electric it would cost $2.51 and $1.49 (gas)!
THink how much that would save in one year if you only used the crock pot once a week!!!

I cook everything, well, almost everything, in the crock pot. Your right, you can put the entire meal in there before work, and it's done when you get home. No fires, no mess, no heating up the house.

They can make cheap meat great, save electricity, and I can have dinner ready when I get home from work. One of the greatest inventions ever!

Sure, it's great. I've taken a whole frozen chicken added a few spices, set it to low and when I get home from work. yummmmm.
I usually don't add much water, maybe a half cup or so. and for spices, well I like spicy! Curry's good to, there are many types of curry just ask an Indian form India. Not all curries are hot a half cup of vinagar and half cup of soy is good too. Try all sorts of mixtures, let your imagination run wild! If you like the herb or spice, it's doubtful it will turn out bad.

Yes I do. I pre-prep my fix'ns the night before and throw everything in as I walk out the door. I work all day and when I've had enough, I scoot right home and eat that homemade stuff.

Slow cooking!!!

Crockpots rock for meals like PotRoast dinner, and Beef Stew, etc, I love mine too. The meat comes out very flavorful and tender, without the fuss.

I love to put a lean roast of beef or pork in there and then potatoes and carrots and onions. Beef stew is really good. You can buy the stew mix. Put mushrooms, potatoes, carrots, onions and celery and whatever else you like
