My husband has grilled one and I have yet to do it. Just wanted to know if anyone else knew about these?

1st Recepie
INGREDIENTS:
1 whole chicken fryer
Louisiana cajun seasoning salt or any seasoned salt
1 16oz. can beer (any brand)
1 ounce Zataran's crab boil
2ND Recepie
1 whole frying chicken
1 can, 12 oz. beer

Marinade
1/2 C fresh lemon or lime juice
1/2 C fresh orange juice
1/3 C olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 C minced cilantro
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 - 1 minced, seeded jalapeño pepper (more or less depending on how much heat you like)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

Mix all marinade ingredients together. Place chicken in a large plastic zipper bag and pour in the marinade, squeeze excess air from the bag and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Preheat grill to medium-hot temperature. Place a roasting pan on the grill, open a can of beer and carefully sit the chicken on top of the open can and set both the can and the chicken in the roasting pan on the grill (make sure you have previously removed the chicken's gizzards). The beer will bubble and boil during cooking, basting the bird from the inside. Brush bird with reserved marinade every 20 minutes or so. Bird should be cooked in about an hour, or however long it takes the breast meat to register 180° F on a meat thermometer.

aluminum foil
PREPARATION:
Tear a piece of aluminum foil paper about 12" long. Fold in half and put on grill, folding edges under grill to secure in place. Remove excess fat from chicken and rinse with cool water. Pat dry. Season chicken well inside
Open can of beer, take a big swallow or pour out one ounce. Add liquid crab boil to beer. Separate skin from neck area by pushing finger between skin and meat. While holding pocket created open, pour beer into pocket. Do this in several areas. A large injection needle works well for doing this. Next slide chicken over can of beer, holding beer can and chicken while gently putting on foil covered section of grill. Close grill and cook for about 45 minutes or until juices run clear and chicken is done. The internal temperature must be 165 degrees F.

yeah Ive done it several times. it's good and moist, and tastes like the beer you use...so pick a good flavor. you can also you coke or orange drinks etc. make sure you put a good rub on the chicken. also put a little in the can. poke extra holes in the top of the can for more steam. my last tip is to rotate the chickens legs forward so it helps it stand up right. oh and dont touch the can when you take it off the grill. its hot...obvious i know

We cook "Beer Can Chicken" down south all the time! Take a whole chicken & remove the "inside stuff". Open a can of your favorite beer & shove up the chicken's butt, then rub outside of chicken with your favorite spice mix. Grill til done, then serve with your favorite sides.....For a more upscale or romantic dinner, you can do the same thing with cornish games hens & just use a "pony" can of beer for the meal......Yummy!!!
