We are afraid of commitment because we think that at some point we are gonna feel like we are missing out on something else by being committed to one other person. One of our biggest problems is we like variety and we sometimes do things that make life so much harder for us for the sake of getting a little on the side. My biggest fear of commitment is having a child and then having a divorce and having to set up visitation rights with my child and not being able to tuck my little in at night.

Many guys are not. In fact I'd say the majority of males are not afraid of committment -- they just aren't the men who are in demand from the females.

I think I know what your problem is: You are looking for a particular type of man.. You want a guy who is strong, dominant, and a leader - the regular alpha-male. The alpha-male is the person the others gravitate toward. The alpha-male has got it going, with friends, girls, money, everything. That's the one you and a dozen other girls all want. Trouble is the alpha-male sees no benefit in settling down - there's nothing in it for him.

If you were to look for a well educated, sensitive guy who gets along well with children, you will probably find better husband material.

I am not afarid of committment, I suppose some guys are jerks and want to string you along to maybe get into your pants or something but I think there are lots of guys like me that would jump at a chance to be with a girl like you...

OK I'll answer this honestly in regards to your question However even though many may not agree i think My question drives to the core of our Society and its rules.

I think Men don't want a commitment for the primary reason of there own unknown financial future. This meaning in our culture men (even though women also work) we are considered the bread winners. If we feel we cant afford to marry someone in these times (I know women don't like to be thought of as objects of purchase). We may choose to delay our own desires to have a family. Only then will we marry when we feel this question burning inside all of us.Who will i pass on to my knowledge and my name sake. I know it sounds selfish but i believe both genders have deep down inside their own selfish needs as well. Deep down inside it may very well be hope we search for something better.

That statement's dumb. Just look around and there are millions of guys committed to their wives and families. That you've flunked in relationships once or twice doesn't mean 51% of humanity equals the guys you've made out with.

I Just think your looking for the wrong guys. If someone is attracted you, you'll know it. The right guy will pop up in your life just be yourself and have patience. You have to make sure that all their intentions are sincere and from the heart.

same reason why some girls are.... they think theyre going to miss something and must really not like you as much as they sayor you thought. plus they think if they make a commitment, they might not get as much sex from you or not get any sex from anoher chick.
