Generally leg cramps are related to lack of potassium in diet. Banana's & Broccoli are good sources. It is also important to be well hydrated. (drink plenty of fluids) If cramps are severe as you say then you need to go to emergency room and / or contact your family doctor. Potassium also is important in heart function. You don't mention your age, health background or if you are currently alone. Please be safe. It may seem too dramatic to go to ER but always better safe than sorry.

You can take an aspirn to get the blood flowing in your legs.
If you have over done work or been on them to much or strained them, before you go to bed relax in a hot tub of water with vinegar or alchol to relax the muscles in your legs. Have a great nights sleep or a great day period.

Calcium tablets, Milk before you go to bed or eat a Banana!! if you got heating pads at home use them prior to going to bed it will relax you and your leg muscles!! if your in the middle of puberty then you'll probably suffer a bit more with them till you stop growing.

I know you are going to think this is stupid, but drink a little dill pickle juice, don't take much and I guarantee that within 1 or 2 minutes they will be gone. It has got to be the vinegar brine that does the trick, but it really works!!!!!!

A good rubbing is the only thing that helps me, I tried pain killers to no avail. See if you can get someone to massage you legs for you!

you should stretch them out... If after a day or so of stretching it still hurts, go to the doctor, it could be a blood clot, or problem with arteries in your legs

Try to flip your foot up to see if that helps. But definitely see a doctor.
