You do not say how much training your dog has.
You can certainly train backflips and it's easiest if the dog is already doing something that approximates it so you can perfect the movement with operant conditioning.
If your dog isn't already trained, then you need to do baby steps. I would the dog to master the basics and determine that the dog actually has the physical inclination and ability to do this.
If the dog is already walking on hind legs, limping on command, playing dead on 'bang' (even if doggie wags tail then) and doing jump rope and other such things, then you and your dog are ready to learn to do the back flip by shaping toward it as you have on the other exercises. That's why you need to learn basics first, then the ideas come like a waterfall. :)
In regular obedience, (not trick training) some people that have dogs that love to jump, will reward any sort of jump to shape the jump-flip in getting the dog to heel. You signal the dog to 'front', then give the signal to 'heel' -- the dog has learned you are encouraging this so the dog learns in parts to leap up in the air and flip around, landing in heel position at your side. You don't get it perfect the first time, but with incremental practice and lots of praise and reward, the dog can master the exercise. To get to that point, you have to master rewarding the incremental improvements.
Clicker training is great for this because it encourages the dog to offer interesting moves, and you click to reward the things that approximate what you are going for.
Try going to an obedience class and talking to the instructor about this. It can be a lot of fun if the instructor is an open minded clicker trainer and can teach you the tools of operant conditioning!
A great place to get inspiration on trick training and training yourself to train your dog...

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aUM4T
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/Umr7X
If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.
It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.
