I am going on the treadmill and doing pilates. Since pilates is a form of strength training since you use your own body weight/force, do I also need to lift weights?

I would life weights for your arms-- pilates hasn't done much for my arms but it has toned and flattened my stomach like nothing else I've ever done.

Pilates is not really a weight lifting exercise. It has some wimpy strength training, but you can't even compare it with real "iron pumping". Pilates is closer to yoga than to anything else.
