I am currently 17 and I wear a size 15 pant. By the end of this school year I want a smaller tummy and pant size. The problem is that every exercise I find in my teen magazine makes me almost vomit when I'm done with it. Any suggestions?

You're starting too hard too early.

To lose weight all you have to do is eat less and move more. I shifted 42 pounds and the only exercise I EVER took was walking. Buy a pedometer and walk as far as you want to. Make a note of how many paces you have done.

Walk the same number the next day but add 250 paces every other day until you get to at least 10,000. You will need comfortable shoes, don't try and walk this far in heels :D

Eat sensibly, cut out the rubbishy fast food we get bombarded with, and I guarantee that you will lose weight.

Listen: you need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.

Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Good luck and stick at it.

teen mags arent correct representations of what kids look like.
stop reading them is the first step.
cut out un needed sugars; juices, sodas, starbucks.
Read what is in the foods you eat... the calories in a frappuccino at Starbucks is like.. 700-900 calories. thats half your day.
Cut out Fast foods. Yeah it tastes good but you being happy with your body is better. If you have to have a burger.. get a side salad instead. and No mayo.
Think fruits and veggies .
Pretzles instead of chips
AND EXERCISE... you should get 30 min of walking in a day.challenge yourself to walk more/ faster/farther.
Get an exercise ball and a DVD for it. Crunches on it feel more comfy and are more effective.
Then Join a Gym if you feel better as you go along.
YOU CAN DO IT

Try Windsor Pilates, don't over do it or you will not stick to it - do it like 3 or 4 times a week, not every day.

Also-
ad something to your daily routine that you will do without even feeling like you are working out - for example, walk home from school-

I got into great shape for my honeymoon by doing pilates and getting off the train a few stops earlier after work and walking home. That's it - i did not even change my eating habits. And in 2 months, I felt and looked so much better!

Good luck sweetie, I hope you take my advice!

Hi
Try this simple plan it really worked for me so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx

you don't have to vomit after you read the magazine. you don't even have to buy them to look for your source for "vomit"

To lose weight, you need to
1. eat less with a diet full of grain, vegetables and fruits
2. exercise
